Quickstart

From sign-up to your first pinned feedback in about five minutes.

1. Create your workspace

Sign up and name your workspace after your agency or team. Your teammates join it later from Team.

2. Create a project

One project per client website. On Projects, type the site's name and press New project, then pick how the site is built. You don't need to add localhost: any localhost address works for your team as soon as you sign in there.

3. Add the line to the site

The project's Settings & install page shows your line with the right key. It looks like this:

<script src="https://ekhanemark.com/w.js" data-project="your-project-key" async></script>

Put it before </body> on every copy of the site. Framework-specific steps are in Install.

4. Add the site's addresses

Under Site addresses, add each place the site runs online, for example https://staging.client.com and https://client.com. Requests from other addresses are refused (localhost is the exception, for your team only). Pick a mode for each: On for staging, Review for the live site.

5. Open the site and leave the first pin

Open the site with #ekhanemark at the end of the address (or click Open site next to an address) and press Sign in. The EkhaneMark toolbar appears at the bottom of the page. Press Comment (or the C key), click any element, write something and press Post. The pin appears, and the feedback is on the project's Feedback page.

6. Invite your client

Under Invite clients, create an invite link and send it however you usually talk to them. They sign in with Google or email and ask to join; you get an email and a note on the project, and press Approve. The link alone never shows your feedback. What they see is described in For clients.
